Concerning Drop in Teacher Job Satisfaction
The 2011 version of the MetLife Survey of the American Teacher (28th Annual) shows that only 44% of the teachers surveyed are 'very satisfied with their jobs', down from 59% in 2009. At the end of the 2012 school year, the NISCE leadership team took a field trip to witness a community event in Sanford, Maine.
