Meet-Up Public Talks and Lectures

Teachers often talk about their love of the profession and the joy they get from teaching their students. More and more, both are challenged by the demands that are increasingly placed on them. AYP (annual yearly progress), making sure their students are ready for testing, worrying about a particular student being homeless or hungry, complex and large classrooms, and mandates to cover a required curriculum are but a few of these. Are there ways to avoid “educator fatigue” while creating a dynamic and engaging classroom from September to June?

Together with other educators, you will:

  • review research findings on demands which seem to contribute to “educator fatigue”
  • discuss and explore effective strategies for combating “educator fatigue”
  • network and develop your own personal educator support system
  • evaluate techniques for speaking up about concerns and suggesting effective solutions
  • hear innovative ways others are balancing teaching and personal life

Educators wanting to find new ways to sustain their personal enthusiasm and passion for their chosen field are encouraged to attend this conversation.
