Description
Differentiated Instruction (DI) is a powerful means to raise student achievement. With every student at different levels of skills, planning for diverse support is important. Explore how to meet the learning needs of all students for greater success.
As a participant you will:
  • Outline ways to better understand the relationship of DI Readiness and Formative Assessments.
  • Explore examples of Differentiated Instruction Readiness to teacher planning of Content, Process, and Products
  • Reflect on  next steps for incorporating these Differentiated Instruction  Readiness concepts
About the Presenter

John McCarthy, Ed.S. is a strong advocate of student voice for over 20 years. A teacher and consultant, he works with schools across the U.S. and internationally on major instructional concerns regarding Differentiated Instruction (DI), Project Based Learning (PBL), and Authentic Assessment practices. He writes articles on these topics for several publications, most recently ASCD Express and a monthly column on DI for Edutopia. He also blogs regularly at www.openingpaths.org.
